From the Forward to the report: "In 2002, the Standing Committee of the Preservation and Conservation Section of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) proposed to the IFLA Governing Board a project to compile a register of standards and other works that provide specific guidance and structured advice for libraries and archives in the practice of preservation management and conservation. At first, the committee hoped to find a consultant available to take on this task. However, when the then chair of the committee, John McIlwaine, stepped down from the post, he offered to take on this project, with the assistance of the Standing Committee and the officers of the IFLA Core Activity on Preservation and Conservation (IFLA PAC). The initial compilation was published on IFLANET in March 2005."

Distance Education Demonstration Program - Third Report to Congress, April 2005, U.S. Department of Education.
(Reported by Dan Carnevale in the Chronicle of Higher Education (online edition) April 13, 2005: "In a new report, the U.S. Department of Education recommends that Congress ease rules that limit institutions' ability to offer distance-education programs. The report argues that online courses help more students gain access to a college education."

"Dr. Greenberg served as Principal Investigator (PI) for the AMeGA project, a research grant which lasted a full year. AMeGA stands for Automatic Metadata Generation Applications project and the project had for goal to identify and recommend functionalities for applications supporting automatic metadata generation in the library/bibliographic control community....The final report was reviewed and endorsed by the Metadata Generation Task Force (MGTF)."
